ASRB NET 2024
ASRB NET eligibility:
Nationality
- A candidate must be either a citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan/ Tibetan refugee or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania,(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Required Educational Qualifications
- A candidate for the Agricultural Research Service must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institution.
- Aspirants who are having Master’s degree from a foreign University must attach a certificate of equivalence and recognition of that degree issued by the University Commission/ Govt. of India/ any other concerned Govt. of India/ Department or Agency.

ASRB NET age limit:
Candidates who are seeking admission for ARS 2024 Examination must be between 21 to 32 years in age. Upper age relaxation shall be provided as follows:
- 5 years of relaxation to the SC or ST category candidates shall be given.
- Other backward classes/ Non-creamy layer will be given relaxation of 3 years.
- The upper age limit will be relaxable up to a maximum of 10 years for Divyang candidates. SC, ST and OBC who are also covered under the Divyang category will be eligible for grant of cumulative age relaxation under both the categories.
- SC/ST/OBC/ Divyang candidates holding Ph.D. degree will be relaxable by a further period of 3 years.
- Domicile of the State of Jammu & Kashmir will be given relaxation up to maximum of five years.
- Other bonafide displaced persons/repatriates of Indian origin / Defence Services Personnel/Border Security Force Personnel etc. will be given relaxation as per the instructions of GOI.

ASRB NET 2024 Selection Process:
For ARS
- Aspirants’ selection for Agricultural Research Service (ARS) shall be done on the basis of Prelims, Mains and Viva Voce. ARS (Preliminary) Exam is a qualifying examination and shortlisted aspirants in prelims will appear in ARS Mains Examination.
- Those contenders who will qualify the mains examination and Viva Voce will be appointed as Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

For NET 2024
Those candidates, who will qualify the National Eligibility Test 2024, will be able to apply for the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/Aus. NET certificates shall be granted by ASRB so that they could apply for the latest vacancies.

- In case two candidates, who secured candidates, who secured equal aggregate marks in written and Viva-voce, then the merit will be prepared as per the following rules:

- If further tie is there then person senior in age will be ranked higher.
