SASTRA University Eligibility:
Degree in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern of examinations in the following discipline from a recognized university is needed.
Ø A Bachelor’s degree in B.A / B.Lit., /B.Sc., in Tamil/ English/ Applied Chemistry/ Bio Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / History / Geography / Physics /Mathematics / Applied Physics / Chemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Environmental Science / Dietetics/ Applied Geography / Computer Science / Computer Applications/ Information Technology.
Ø In case of Economics/Commerce/Home Science the candidate must possess a Postgraduate degree (with a UG degree in the same subject) from the recognized University.
Ø A teaching diploma from the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institution through face-to-face mode is alone eligible.
Ø Trained In-Service teachers with two years full time teaching experience in a Nursery / Primary / Secondary/ Higher secondary schools in Tamil Nadu recognized by the state or central Government.
Ø Should be currently working as a teacher in a government recognized school.
For SASTRA University PG Admission, candidates will be screened on the basis of the scores in the qualifying UG / PG degree programme. GATE qualified candidates will be given preference for Engineering programmes and for MBA, students with good CAT/XAT/AIMAT/CMAT scores will be given preference.
For all degree programmes in Law, admissions in SASTRA University will be based on the CLAT 2024 Scores and +2 aggregate taken in the ratio of 25% & 75% respectively.
For all other degree programmes in Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Education, etc. admissions will be based on the qualifying exam marks.

Sastra University Fee Structure:
Applying candidates for SASTRA University admission are required to pay Rs. 63,000/- in one installment for the entire two year programme at the time of admission in the form of Demand Draft favouring SASTRA payable at Thanjavu. Exam fees will be extra based on the number of courses. The fee paid is not refundable under any circumstances.

SASTRA University B.Ed Application Fee:
SASTRA University application fee can be obtained in person from the office of admission, SASTRA campus (Thanjavur, Kumbakonam) on payment of Rs, 600/-or by post on payment of Rs. 650/- by DD favouring SASTRA Deemed University.

The student has to secure a minimum of 50% in aggregate (Continuous Internal Assessment + TEUE) to pass a single programme.
