1. CSIR got intellectual property award

.Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has been awarded National Intellectual Property Award, 2023 for being the top organization of research and development of patent and commercialization.
.The award was given by Union Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu to mark World Intellectual Property Day.
.CSIR Was established in 1942

2 Maharashtra agreement with British Council

-Government of Maharashtra signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the British Council to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation.
.After this agreement, the British Council is expected to expand its existing work in the state.
.of potential areas for cooperation include improving English teaching and promoting employment skills in schools and training institutions.

3 Agricultural Minister introduces export of seeds for portals

.Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh launched a portal to facilitate the export-import of seeds and planting material.
.In order to facilitate the business process, a portal of Seed Export Import has been developed.
.With the commencement of this portal, all the organizations that import and export seeds will not need to submit their applications in 20 copies.

4. AIIMS establishes India’s first VBN system

– The All India Institute of Medical Sciences established the first Virtual Broncoscopy Navigation (VBN) system in the country.
-VBN is a facility for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with small tumor-like spots in the lungs.
-Apart from the US and Europe, this facility exists in very few countries like China, Singapore.

5. Intellectual Property Day celebrated on 26th April

-World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated every year on 26th April.
-This program was established in 2000 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to “disseminate awareness about the impact of patents, –copyright, trademarks and designs on daily life”.
-The theme of this year was “Powering Change: Women in Innovation and Creativity”.

6. Mahadevi Verma is today’s Google Doodle

-Mahadevi Verma, famous Hindi poet, freedom fighter, women rights activist and educationist, were awarded with Google by a doodle.
-In 1982, Mahadevi Verma was given the Jnanpith Award on April 27 for his outstanding contributions to Indian literature.
-He was also honored with Padma Bhushan in 1956, Sahitya Academy Fellowship in 1979 and Padma Vibhushan in 1988.

7. Indu Malhotra sworn in as judge of SC

-Senior lawyer Indu Malhotra took oath as Judge of the Supreme Court on 27th April.
-This is the first time that there are two women judges in the Supreme Court, R. Banumathi is already a judge there. Judge Malhotra is the fifth female judge of the top court.
-Judge Fatima Bibi was the first woman judge of the Supreme Court.
-is the first woman lawyer to be elected directly from the bar of the Supreme Court.

8. India-Nepal IGC meeting begins in Kathmandu

-The meeting of the Indo-Nepal Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) on trade, transit and cooperation on 26 April began to control the unauthorized trade in Kathmandu.
-The meeting provides a regular platform for reviewing the implementation of the previous trade and transit agreements.
-IGC also deliberates on issues related to the traffic-in-transit in Nepal and problems of day-to-day in the issue of Indian investment in Nepal.

9. Mumbai to host Food Archeology Conference

-Mumbai is going to host a conference which will see food from the point of view of history, archeology and sociology.
-Convention on the 5th and the 6th May of the title of “Archiebromas” is being told as India’s first national meeting on “Food as Culture”.
-It will be organized by the India Study Center Trust and the University of Mumbai’s Center for Extra-Mural Studies.

10. First solar micrograph current in Gujarat

-Swedish-Swiss multinational company ABB Announced the launch of India’s first industrial solar microgrid in Apda Vadodara Manufacturing Center in Gujarat.
-Microgrid with integrated battery energy storage allows power reduction in planned and unplanned way.
-One major advantage of this is to reduce total operating costs and electricity bills
