Units and Vacancy Distribution

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 15 and 24 years old as of June 12, 2024. Age relaxations apply as follows:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• Divyang (PwBD) candidates: Up to 10 years

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Requirement: Candidates should have passed High School (10th) with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Technical Qualification: Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the notified trade as of June 12, 2024.

Physical Standards

Selected candidates must present a medical certificate issued by an authorized medical officer during document verification. Eligibility for Divyang candidates will be governed by Railway Board guidelines.

• General/OBC candidates: Rs. 100
• SC/ST/Divyang (PwBD)/Women candidates: Exempted from the fee

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by averaging the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.

• Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates will be called for document verification at Gorakhpur. They must bring a copy of the online application, medical certificate in the prescribed format, 4 passport-sized photographs, and all original certificates and testimonials.

Training and Stipend

The training will adhere to the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council, subject to registration with RDAT Kanpur. Selected candidates will receive a stipend as per extant rules.

• No Employment Claim: Act apprentices imparted training in Railway establishments will have no claim to seek employment on the Railways based on such training.
