The Ordnance Factory Dehu Road (OFDR), Pune, under Munitions India Limited (MIL), has announced a recruitment drive for over 200 vacancies for Tenure-Based Danger Building Workers (DBW) on a contract basis. Vacancy Details and Pay Scale

The recruitment is for a tenure-based DBW position, initially for a period of one year, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years based on factory requirements and individual performance.

Basic Pay: ₹19,900/- per month (plus DA)

Essential Qualification

Candidates must be Ex-Apprentices of the AOCP trade (NCTVT) from Ordnance Factories or AOCP trade (NCTVT) candidates from Government/Private organizations with government affiliation. Candidates from Government ITIs with AOCP (NCTVT) are also eligible.

Candidates without apprentice experience from Ordnance Factories will undergo a compulsory one-month extensive in-house training on the safe handling of explosives, ammunition, safety norms, etc., before deployment.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years as of the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST: 5 years (for reserved posts)
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (for reserved posts)
• Ex-Servicemen: Period of Military Service + 3 years

Selection Process

The selection process involves the following steps:

1. NCTVT and Trade Test/Practical Test: Candidates will be selected based on marks scored in the NCTVT and Trade Test/Practical Test, in the order of merit. The cutoff percentage for the Trade Test will be decided by OFDR based on total marks secured in the NCTVT.
2. Trade Test: Conducted by OFDR within one month of the closing date of the advertisement.
3. Merit List: Prepared based on combined marks secured in the NCTVT Exam (80%) and Trade Test/Practical Test (20%).
4. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in the NCTVT and Trade Test will be called for document verification in the order of merit. The number of candidates called for document verification will be limited to the number of posts notified (discipline/category-wise).
