The recruitment is for a total of 80 posts, divided as follows:

Reservation for Special Categories

Out of the total posts, certain positions are reserved for Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) candidates:

• Translator: 2 posts
• Translator-cum-Proof Reader: 1 post

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality:
   • Indian citizens.
   • Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1972.
   • Individuals of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries with an intention to permanently settle in India.
2. Character:
   • The candidate must have a suitable character for service in the High Court.
3. Marital Status:
   • Male candidates with more than one wife alive or female candidates married to a person already having a wife alive are not eligible.
4. Physical Fitness:
   • Candidates must be in good mental and physical health.
5. Age Limit:
   • Minimum: 18 years (born on or before January 1, 2006)
   • Maximum age varies by category (e.g., 37 years for UR & EWS males, 40 years for UR & EWS females, BC/EBC, 42 years for SC/ST, 47 years for OH candidates).

Educational Qualification

• Essential:
  • Graduation with English as one of the subjects.
  • Knowledge of Hindi.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application (minimum six months).
• Preferential:
  • Law degree.
  • Knowledge of Urdu, Maithili, or Santhali.
  • Service in the Territorial Army or possession of an NCC ‘B’ certificate.

Reservation Details

Vertical Reservation:

• SC: 16%
• ST: 1%
• EBC: 18%
• BC: 12%
• EWS: 10%

Horizontal Reservation:

• Women: 35%
• OH (Locomotor Disabled): 4%

Selection Process

1. Written Test:
   • General English, General Hindi, General Awareness, and Legal Knowledge (Objective).
   • Translation (English to Hindi and Hindi to English).
2. Computer Proficiency Test:
   • Typing, MS Word, MS Excel, and Internet proficiency.
3. Interview.

Examination Fee

• UR/BC/EBC/EWS: ₹1100.00
• SC/ST/OH: ₹550.00
