Mode of Selection:
The selection process for Act Apprentices is as follows:
- Application Screening & Scrutiny:
There will be no written test or interview. - Merit-Based Selection:
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by averaging the percentage marks obtained in both SSC/Matriculation/10th (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examinations, giving equal weightage to both. - Tie-Breaking Criteria:
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference.
- If the dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be preferred.
- Final Merit List:
A final merit list will be prepared by cluster, trade, and community, equal to the number of slots, in descending order of percentage marks obtained in SSC/Matriculation/10th & ITI. - Discrepancy in Marks:
Any discrepancy between the marks/CGPA entered in the online application and the original marksheet/certificate found during document verification will result in the rejection of the candidature.
Application Process:
Interested candidates can apply ONLINE through the official Northern Railway website. Make sure to fill out the application form carefully, as any discrepancies might lead to disqualification.
Conclusion:
This is a significant opportunity for individuals seeking apprenticeship training in the railway sector. Ensure that all eligibility criteria are met before applying, and submit your application well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.
