Increased Honorarium for Shiksha Mitras
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh assured the Legislative Council on Friday that the government would consider an increase in honorarium for Shiksha Mitras. He emphasized that any decision taken in this regard would be communicated to the assembly.
How to Apply Online
The online application process for the Gramin Vikas Vibhag recruitment will be made available on the official website. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates on the application process, eligibility criteria, and other relevant details.
In response to a question raised by Dr. Man Singh Yadav, the Basic Education Minister stated that a High-Power Committee was formed in 2018 to review the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras. However, the current status and decisions of the committee remain unknown. Dr. Man Singh Yadav raised concerns about the disparity in honorarium, highlighting that during the SP government, Shiksha Mitras were granted an honorarium of ₹40,000, while the current government set it at ₹10,000.
Minister’s response attributed the reduction to a Supreme Court decision that excluded 15,000 Shiksha Mitras, resulting in a revision of the honorarium for the remaining individuals.
As the recruitment process unfolds, candidates are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates on the official website and adhere to the guidelines provided for a smooth application process. This initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government is expected to boost employment opportunities and contribute to the development of rural areas.
