The Maharashtra Postal Circle earlier has released a notification to fill 2707 posts in the GDS posts in its Advt. No Re/APCO/3-11/2024 . According to the official announcement, it is a two-step process for applying the post. One is to register in the official online portal and the dates to submit are between October 15th to 14th November 2024 . Later after the registration the dates to apply for the post are released and that is between 22nd October and 21st November. So the candidates who applied for the post are waiting for the Maharashtra GDS Merit List 2024 or result to be announced.

Maharashtra GDS Results 2024 Merit List Process –
- As the officials are not conducting any exam, the selection process for the Maharashtra Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) is completely based on the SSC results of the candidates.
- The merit list will be generated automatically based on the marks of the candidates in the qualifying exam I.e class 10th / SSC.
- It is also not based on the higher education of the candidates or the experience of the candidates in any service.
- Only those candidates who got the aggregate percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be finalized for the selection.
- Suppose the candidates got the same marks then the higher authority may release the result in order of the DOB( higher age as merit) and also the hierarchy of the caste taking ST females like a high priority and UR male as the low priority.
- After the publication of the merit list in the GDS engagement portal, accordingly selected candidates will be sent an intimation about their selection through SMS. A physical intimation also will be sent in due course of time to the given postal address.
