Briefly state with reference to Joint Entrance Examination Council’s Notification for admission into Group A (Engineering/Technology Diploma Courses) & Group B to K7 (Other Courses) different Streams of Polytechnic Program for the Academic Year 2024-23 offered at the Government, Government-Aided and Private Institutes affiliated with the Joint Entrance Examination Council.
JEECUP Polytechnic Admission 2024
Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC) has already released towards Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE) 2024 for admission into Group A (Engineering/Technology Diploma Courses) & Group B to K7 (Other Courses); would release the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets one month prior to commencement of the Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) Course – 2024-23; may like to organize soon 2024 the Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) 2024-23;
- would declare within Three Weeks both UPJEE Result and Ranks for admission into Polytechnic Courses;
- host Counseling (First / Second / Third / Fourth Rounds) and apart from different Slots of Counseling, Joint Entrance Examination Board may like to conduct Counseling for Spot Admission into Group A (Engineering/Technology Diploma Courses) & Group B to K7 (Other Courses).
The last date for online application for admission to different courses of admission in different courses of various polytechnic institutes of Lucknow is 16th March 2024. They have said that the admission test In all 75 districts, on 26th & 27th April 2024, two shift will be held from 9 am to 12:00 pm and 2.30PM to 5:30 pm.

Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council (in the absence of Age Limit) is likely to continue with the Eligibility Criteria and Minimum Qualifying Marks for admission into Group A (Engineering/Technology Diploma Courses) & Group B to K7 (Other Courses) for the Academic Year 2024-23.

Note: The Candidates of Group K1 to K7 (Lateral Entry in 2nd Year) must pass following First Year Subjects within the Course Period.

b) Diploma Fashion Design & Garment Technology Course – i) Professional Communication, ii) Fashion Design Concept iii) Computer Principal & Application.
Score and Result for UPJEE (Polytechnic) – 2024
The Result / Score of Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) – 2024 for all the Candidates will be declared soon.
This Score shall comprise the Actual Marks obtained in the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) – 2024 along with the Status of those who qualify for appearing in UPJEE (Polytechnic) Counseling – 2024.
Only the State Open Rank is used for all the groups separately for admissions through seat allocation while other ranks are for information purpose only.
III. No Score / Rank Card will be dispatched to the Candidates. The Candidates are advised to download their Score / Rank Cards from Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh Website.
The Answer Keys of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination will be displayed on the Website along with the Result.
Reservation Of Seats:
As per Uttar Pradesh Government Rules, the Candidates belonging to certain Categories are admitted into Seats reserved for them based on the Relaxed Criteria. These Categories are mentioned here under:
Vertical Reservations:
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy-Layer (NCL) – 27%
- Scheduled Castes (SC) – 21% III. Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 02%
Horizontal Reservations:
Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) with 40% or more disabilities) – 03% II. Freedom Fighters – 02%, III. Wards of Military Personnel – 05% IV. Girl Candidates belonging to All the Categories.
Admission Preference:
- The candidates who have passed minimum qualifying examination from institute situated in Uttar Pradesh or Parents of the Candidate are domicile of Uttar Pradesh or Mother / Father of Candidate is Employee of Central Government and currently posted in Uttar Pradesh.
- After Admission of above mentioned Candidates, if the Seats are Vacant, then Admission will be open for rest qualified Candidates of other than Uttar Pradesh and India. Foreign candidates should be Nominated / Recommended by their own Country and Nominated / Recommended / Agreed by Government of India.
JEECUP Polytechnic Admission Counseling: 2024
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Round of Counseling and Spot Round for Allotment of the Seat in different Polytechnic Courses shall be organized commencing soon and ending with the Spot Round for Seat Allotment shortly.
Application Fee:
- General Candidates / Other Backward Classes: Rupees 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only)
- Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: Rupees 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only)
