ASRB LDC Exam Pattern:

NOTE

• Exam paper will consist of Objective Type that is Multiple Choice Questions only.
• All the Questions asked in exam except of Part-II will be set both in English & Hindi.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

1. B) SKILL TEST IN TYPING:

• Specifications of English and Hindi typing are as follows –
• English Typing @ 35 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 Minutes)(30 Minutes for VD candidates)
• Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 Minutes) (30 Minutes for VD candidates) (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. corresponds to 10500 Key Depressions per Hour/9000 Key Depressions per Hour on an average to 5 Key Depressions for each word)

NOTE:

• Typing Test will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
• Candidates have to indicate their medium of Typing Test (in English or Hindi) in online application form.
• Candidates will not be allowed to change medium of typing a subsequent stage.
• Any category candidates will not get exemption from Typing Test in any case.

ASRB Assistant Syllabus

English Comprehension: ASRB NET 2024 Syllabus

• Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, their basic comprehension and writing ability etc. would be tested.
• Questions will be from Errors, Synonym, Antonym, One Word Substitution, and Correction & Comprehension.

General Knowledge:

• Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected from an educated person.
• The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy and scientific research etc.
• These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

General Mental Ability:

• It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component will include questions of analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis
• Judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification
• Arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding statement, conclusion, syllogistic Reasoning etc.

Quantitative Analysis including Arithmetic:

• The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate.
• The part will include questions on problems relating to number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations
• Percentage, ratio and proportion, average, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration time and distance ratio and time etc.
